Remote Device Management & Compatible Platforms
Manage every screen in your network from one dashboard, on the hardware you already own. Below you find how Remote Device Management works and which displays, media players and operating systems are compatible with DST Connect.
Remote Device Management
Every DST Connect player comes with built-in Remote Device Management (RDM). Monitor, control and update your screens from the CMS dashboard, without anyone on site.
| Category | What you can do remotely |
|---|---|
| System | Reboot, app restart, delayed reboot, applet reload |
| Diagnostics | Screenshot capture, retrieve logs, screen info query |
| Display | Display on/off, set orientation, get current time |
| Network | Switch to DHCP, configure manual network settings |
| Timers | Get/set/clear scheduled timers (standard and pro) |
| Remote control | Get/set PIN code, lock/unlock remote control |
| App updates | Over-the-air (OTA) updates of the player app on all supported platforms |
| Monitoring | Devices report their status at regular intervals (typically every 60 seconds) for real-time fleet monitoring |
Not every command is available on every platform. What a device supports depends on the hardware and its operating system. Professional SoC displays and media players offer the widest set of RDM features. See How DST Connect Works for device setup and screen claiming.
Platforms at a glance
DST Connect runs as a native app on the following operating systems. Click a platform to jump to its model list.
For a stable result, update each display to the recommended firmware listed below before installing DST Connect. Where it says "Latest available", use the newest firmware the manufacturer offers for that model.
